PAYMENT OF CURRENT CONSUMPTION CHARGES BY HT / LT CONSUMERS THROUGH INTERNET BANKING

 

This facility is available for payment of current consumption charges by HT / LT consumers who possess:-

a) State Bank of India Net banking
b) State Bank of India ATM cum Debit cards
c) Any Bank Debit cards
d) Other Bank Net banking

The HT consumers are required to select the State of the Corporate / Institution as “Puducherry” and Type of the Corporate / Institution as “Government Department” in the first page. The consumers should then select the name of the department as “Electricity Department, Pondicherry” and the payment category as “HT Electricity Bill collection” / "LT Electricity Bill collection" and then enter the Consumer code assigned by the department. The consumer name, address, billing month, bill date, due date and the dues of the consumers will be displayed in the web page. The remitter will be required to furnish the name of the remitter, date of birth, mobile number and the Captcha code for web payment authentication which are required to reprint the challan, if the need arises. The next page would lead to the Net banking page of the bank where the HT consumers maintain their respective account. On successful completion of the payments, a receipt would be generated by the web portal and the consumers are advised to preserve the copy of the payment receipt generated from the web page for any clarifications sought by the Electricity Department at a later date.

The HT consumers have the option of payment of Bill amount including arrears, if any, belated payment surcharge (BPSC) and sales tax. No part payment will be allowed by this facility.

The LT consumers have the option of payment of Bill amount including arrears, if any, belated payment surcharge (BPSC) and sales tax. Payment will be accepted even if the total amount due is Zero.

The HT / LT consumers are advised to pay the current consumption charges in full, on or before the due date indicated in the web page to avoid levy of belated payment surcharge in the bills of the subsequent month. If payment is made after the due date, necessary belated payment surcharge (BPSC) shall be levied in the next month bill.

The payment made by the HT / LT consumers will be adjusted to be billing data only on receipt of confirmation from the Bank.

Any litigation in the payments made through this facility would be decided by the Electricity Department, Puducherry in consultation with State Bank of India.

Any payment not accounted by this department would be deemed that the payment has not been transferred by the State Bank of India and the details shall be verified by the State Bank of India, Main Branch, Puducherry.
